Founder & Chief Architect

With a vision for building something meaningful, our founder brings a blend of big-picture thinking and hands-on experience. They set the tone for everything. Aethon is led by William Hayes Kemp, a systems architect and designer with a 40-year legacy in kinematic modeling and expert systems AI systems.

The DEX Heritage. In 1983, Kemp pioneered the DEX interface, an expert system designed to manage complex logic and human-machine interaction. This foundational work in "form and function" has evolved into Aethon’s current focus: bridging the gap between theoretical engineering and autonomous reality through high-fidelity digital twins.

Current Focus at Aethon, Kemp oversees the development of Simulation-as-a-Service (SIMaaS) and Cislunar Data Protocols. By applying decades of experience in kinematic synthesis, he is engineering the "Golden Path" for lunar industrialization—ensuring that the hardware of the future is supported by the data infrastructure of today.
